More Costa Rican slang

Andar en otras – to be distracted. Distraer is the correct verb.
Beis – short for baseball
Bronquero – a person who gets in fights
Chayotera – signature Firma is the correct Spanish word.
Doc – short for doctor just like in English
Guindo – a ravine. The correct word is barranca or barranco
Irse de pollo – to let someone make a fool of you or make a fool of yourself. Agarrar de mae is a synonoym
Karoquear – to sing karaoke which is popular in Costa Rica
La ve ofe – things are going badly
Le cayó de perlas – just what the doctor ordered
Llavero – any small person that hangs around with an older or bigger person. Like someone’s shadow. Llavero literally means a keychain .
Pegar un ñangazo – to hit or strike someone
Pura hablada or pura paja – B.S.
Recetar sopa de muñeca – to hit or strike someone
Sacar pecho – to be chesty (proud or conceited).
Santaneño – a person from the town of Santa Ana. Cebollero (onion people) is also used because a lot of onions are grown there.
Sincejas – slang for a snake of woman.
Tarro or pichel – slang for someone’s face. Cara or rostro are the correct words.
Tata – father Padre, papá or papi are also used.
